The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 《我的独裁者》是由李海俊执导,薛景求、朴海日主演的情感电影,于2014年10年30日在韩国上映 [1]  。 该片以1970年代的韩国为背景,讲述了在韩朝首次顶峰会议之前,被选为金日成替身的不知名演员与他的儿子之间发生的故事 [2]  。 20世纪70年代,小人物金成根(薛景求饰)一心想成为演员,可是事与愿违遭受了无数的挫折。偶然机缘他得到演员面试的机会,谁知经和其他通过初试的人遭到无情暴打,奄奄一息之际得知终选通过。原来某国家神秘组织正策划南北会谈的阴谋,于是命令金成根在短时间内惟妙惟肖模仿金日成,在这一过程中他越陷越深。21世纪,金成根的儿子金太植(朴海日饰)被债务逼得焦头烂额,走投无路的时候他打算卖掉父亲留下的老房子,而为了得到父亲的手章,他将活在金日成世界里的父亲从医院接回。伟大的社会主义国家首长和不成器的资本主义儿子终于回到了同一屋檐下…… 金成根(薛景求饰)是在小剧场做了八年勤杂工的无名演员。他因为自身性格软弱,总是被别人抢了角色。总是饰演路人甲的他虽然有幸获得了《李尔王》的出演机会,却因太过紧张而忘记台词。在儿子面前丢脸的成根好不容易得到了挽回失误的机会,他被选为在韩朝峰会彩排中出演金日成的替身。他在许教授(李炳俊饰)和吴启章(尹宰文饰)的指导下,成了比真人更真的金日成。但是,韩朝峰会化为泡影,成根未能完美收场。失去舞台的成根无法从角色中走出来,就这样度过了20年的岁月。儿子泰植(朴海日饰)也因为一直坚信自己是金日成的父亲而与他渐行渐远,但为了清算债务回到了老家。和独裁者一起没有过一天安宁日子的泰植成为了他的“继承人”,为了得到遗产而孤军奋战 [3]  。
